How Much Sugar Myths & Legends - If you look at most of the list is food just about healthy? You don't often find many listthat emphasizes foods that are not healthy. Somehow, they just hope you know how much sugar in cereals, candies, and pasta.
For example, bananas have the same amount of sugar as a scoop of ice cream. And 30times that of sugar as shredded wheat.
What is healthy food, then? What would make you lose weight and healthy? Certainly not ice cream. And not torn grain either.
This website see sugar (most added sugars), no carbohydrates. Yes, fruits and vegetables have a lot of sugar, but not many other carbohydrates. Processed foods, such as wheat and other cereals shredded, contain a lot of carbohydrates.
These carbohydrates break down into sugars in the body. It is what they do, and that's what our body is supposed to do.
That's why the shredded wheat is so bad. The hotel has 40 g of carbohydrates, and bananas have only 27g. So, the shredded wheat will be almost half of what it should be for a full day's worth of diabetes carbohydrates. Then, you add the milk, which adds another 30 g and you now have almost all carbohydrates for 1 day in a small bowl.
How healthy is that? Something that has almost no nutritional value, except forchemical fiber and added vitamins (all 4 of them). Milk adds no nutritional value and many carbohydrates. Versus something that has a lot of potassium, vitamin A, the same amount of fiber ironically, and more than 100 other nutrients.
Frankly, this list is just silly. They are a tool of making a profit for their corporatesponsors and experts. They are meant to move the people of healthy food and intoprocessed foods. Because if you can attach some box, people can count on.
But, the count could be lying. The company that allowed deviation of 25% of the actual number. Cereal boxes can have more variations than apple. And apples containmany, many more nutrients.
Stop looking at numbers. Go for fresh foods, healthy vegetables, and meat quality. You do not need to calculate and you do not need to calculate.
